Get to know Kevin Christopher
Prior to his recognition as a Top 22 Conscious Business Leader, Christopher was a 2018 Best for the World Honoree. He is a registered patent attorney, entrepreneur, and National Science Foundation advisor for the Center for Green Solid-State Electric Power Generation and Storage. Christopher’s practice areas include:
- Patent and trademark prosecution
- Licensing and litigation
- Corporate law, with an emphasis on benefit corporations, socially responsible businesses and high-growth emergent companies
- Government contracts, with an emphasis on innovation funding

- Technology communication
He previously spent 10 years in San Francisco working in a number of startups, as well as in the commercialization of energy and biotech technologies from the University of California-Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley, and Lawrence Livermore National Labs. Additionally, Christopher has been an integral advisor for startups with algal production, microbiome editing, biomass conversion, and hepatocellular carcinoma diagnostic technologies.
Christopher’s educational background is equally as impressive, as he served as a teaching assistant to Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm at Berkeley Law, was named an outstanding scholar in the UC Hastings Law and Bioscience program, worked as a judicial extern for U.S. District Court Judge Charles R. Breyer, and spent time as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office. It’s also worth mentioning the Ridgeline Venture Law founder is a regularly featured poet in To An Unknown God — A Journal of Christian Thought at the university.
